Hi I jut recieved my starview 3 box and am having problems finding the stations. When i switch it on and select ntl and auto scan it finds all the stations however most bar the FTA ones are scrambled. In my system info my API Ver is 7.08E and Boot is 8.0? Not sure if this helps but if anyone can advise i really appreciate it. I cant seem to finf the menu option that allows me to put in codes however all the stations are there with a $ sign beside them meaning they are locked i think? I say this because the FTS ones dont have this sign. Can anyone help a complete novice? Thanks
As cactikid said, the boxes are sold as FTA receivers for legal reasons and need firmware installed to unlock the channels.
