Help with settingup Eurovox EX1000Sl

I've just brought a new Eurovox EX1000Sl and I'm having problems installing it, despite having these insturctions. I have follwed the guide provided by Hi Tech but for some reason my PC and Eurovox are not communicationg. When clicking the download button it gets stuck on reciever not responding. Any ideas?

Yes I have followed the attached guide, the one insturction that i didnt manage was the flashing of the box when I coneected it to the PC and secondly when I was tryig to download the software there was no communication between the two.

 

Been for more than a few beers so bare with me 8)

are you using JUST a null modem cable, or a null modem cable with a USB adaptor, also what operating system are you using, XP,, Vista .....
