What range are you willing to sell for, because I am looking for something rather new or good, and willing to pay appropriately based on what you have.

I am assuming you can't buy things from online retailers since your looking here. So I figured I would buy this DVD drive for $21.99 and this enclosure for $22.99. I would assemble the unit and ship it out to you. I would charge you for the charges I incur (products/shipping) for purchasing this from newegg ($53.95 at the time I wrote this). Estimated shipping for a 1-2 lb package from my were I am (Illinois) to either of the US coasts is $10, so the closer you are to Illinois the cheaper it should be. I would also ask for a small $6 addition for doing all this.

The final cost for this external LiteON DVD Burner would be $69.95 shipped.

Would this be able to burn Wii and Xbox 360 backups well? WIll it come with the USB wire and run well (aka no errors from a manmade job)?

I'm very sorry I totally didn't pay attention when looking at the model numbers for the Wii compatible burners. I checked out this forum on AfterDawn that lists DVD burners that are capable of reading Wii games. And found this on eBay, a compatible burner that is tested to work with Wii ripping. The seller has no negative feeback and is a powerseller. The drive is listed as going for $41 dollars shipped. SO using that drive the same enclosure as before, shipping, and the extra $6 for myself would bring everything to a grand total of
$88.96 for a guarenteed to rip Wii games external drive. It would include a USB cable. And there is no need to worry about problems with a "manmade job", this is a fairly straightforward procedure, and part of my college major involves PC repair so I could do this in my sleep.

Let me know what you think, this guy has 9 of the drives so there should be plenty around. And there were cheaper drives on ebay, the cheapest being $37 dollars shipped, but I figured for the extra $4 you get the assurance of a eBay Power Seller with all positive feedback and a guarentee that these will work.

I don't need it to read Wii games just write them.

In that case my original setup would work just fine. And since everything would be done through Newegg if there are any problems we could always return the stuff. So yeah the products listed in my first post would work great as LG DVD burners are very reliable and VERY accurate.
    So it would be...
    LG DVD Burner = $21.99
External Case = $31.96, there were 2 cheaper cases but they didn't look as good or include the USB cable.
Shipping = $10 max, send the $10 and I will send the remainder back in a envelope in the package.
    $6 for my time
Again for a grand total of $69.95 shipped, and whatever amount of the $10 I don't use for shipping I will include in the package along with the shipping receipt as proof that I included the extra cash.

Hmm... I'll consider it for a day and I'll get back to you. $70 is quite a bite out of my wallet.

Alright, while you consider this I will look around at other online retailers to see if I can find a better deal.

Okay. An idea is to buy one that is already external (so shipping fees don't stack up like mountains.)

If you give me your address I can give you accurate shipping cost. Like I said $10 is the tops, with your address I can give you a exact cost.

And I don't know why I didn't think to go with a prebuilt before, but this LiteON unit is awesome and only costs $50 and for a while Newegg is shipping it free.

If you give me your address I can give you a final cost, which depending on where it is being shipped to could be less than $60.

These are the specs listed for the drive.
    20X DVD+R
    8X DVD+RW
    8X DVD+R DL
    20X DVD-R
    6X DVD-RW
    12X DVD-RAM
    16X DVD-ROM
    48X CD-R
    24X CD-RW

As per the companies website the product is 1.1Kg or 2.4Lb which is more than an I anticipated. Shipping a 2.4 object via UPS to your address would cost $11.71. But I believe I can have Newegg ship the package to you instead, so that would eliminate the $11.71.

To order this from Newegg.com is going to cost $54.11 as the site has to charge tax in California so that added the $4.11. So if you want to send me (via PayPal preferably) $57.11, $54.11 + $3 I would be asking for doing this, I would buy it as soon as payment is received and email you the Newegg Invoice and whatever tracking number I receieve. After I order it you should get it in a day or two as they have a warehouse in San Diego, California.

I don't have paypal (I would have just bought it myself otherwise). Do you accept a pure cash in the mail as a form of payment?

Sure, no problem. I would recommend sticking it in a cheap card of some sort, as I have heard when people simply stick cash in a envelope it has a tendency to dissappear at the post office facilities. I will order the product as soon I get the envelope, and I will also let you know when the envelope arrives so you know that it arrived. I have pm'ed you my address. And if anything should happen (unlikely)to the availability of this drive we have agreed on I will contact you and ask if you want to wait, have me send the cash back, etc.

Alright that's all good, but I'm still waiting to take a look at my friend's dvd drive to see if I can use his instead of buying a new one, so hold on for a few days (I'm sorry about this, I'm just trying to save up money because I wanted to buy an Xbox 360 soon)
