Can Direct TV be captured, recorded and viewed on a HTPC?

I have all the components to build a nice HTPC except for the case, but I don't know if it's worth doing it since I have Direct TV. I have the newest black HDDVR box from Direct TV, but I'm worried that if I built everything and then run a component out, SATA or USB to the capture card that it won't work due to HDCP or something else DirectTV has done to prevent this?

Does anyone know if it's possible to capture HDTV from Direct TV and so how?
