avi to dvd

    can anybody recommend a prog for converting avi to dvd for a newbie thanks

    I use TMPGEnc which was free for a limited amount of time to download also .....there is a very helpful guide provided by afterdawn if you use the search facility it got Me easily thru My first few avi conversions

    I copied Last of the Mohikins. I used DVD Shrink, and Nero.

    THe picture quality is stunning, however, over two chapters, the picture gets choppy. I looked at my original dvd of the movie and it is scratch free. So how this happen?
