hey i am a real ditz when it come to anything to do with technology.
i have a toshiba equium A200-1V0 and it doesnt have and s video, but it does have a 15 pin vga.
however my tv doesnt have vga and only s- video, so i was wondering, how would i be able connect it?
i would be seriously grateful if some one could help me with this.

    Ash,

I just ran a Google search on "vga to s-video" and got a slew of results.

One such result was a link back to this forum: vga 15 pin to s-video or 1 rca

    Something to start with, anyway.

My Brother-in-law has the same type of setup that you are talking about except his s-video is on his laptop and the vga/rca is on the tv he got an adapter online and said it was as easy as plug n play.

    Hope that helps.

I am told that you need to make sure that your laptop supports TV-out. I'm not sure exactly what he was saying so I'll find out and let you know.

Neither s-video nor VGA support audio transmission, so a separate audio cable will be needed.
