I'm having skipping problems on multiple players, which leads me to think it's a burner problem. I use Taiyo Yuden's exclusively and burn at a 2x rate. Even on first playback after burn the skipping occurs. I have not updated burner firmware from the original version that came with burner, which I have had now for about 3 years. I have a lens cleaner DVD, but while that seems to sometimes help playback quality, would it help to run it on the burner? Any other suggestions...thanks.
Too slow, maybe, TY's seem to like burn's of at least 8x. Edit: some good info in this thread with quality check's to back it up: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/762634 I alway's wondered why my TY's burned at 4x showed such pathetic quality check's.
