I am looking for an older dvd recorder, preferably without hard drive. I had a PHILIPS DVDR985. It recently died. I liked it because it was modeled after a vcr, similar design and controls. Easy to use and good quality. It used PLUS discs, both R and RW. I have MINUS discs so I could use either. The unit should have a built in tuner, modulator, rf in/out, and at least two line in/out. Multiple speeds, minimal settings to bother with. Compatibility with players would be nice. $s are a factor here. I need ease of use and a more basic unit than the best quality or features.
