    Hi Guys,

    I have a Powermac G4 800Mhz 512Mb 40Gb HDD with a pioneer 107d superdrive.

I use DVD BACK UP & DVD2ONEX to prepare my file before burning.

After shrinking using DVD2ONEX I play the file in Apple DVD player before burning using Toast 6.

My problem is Apple DVD Player will not play DVD'S burnt. However, these copies play perfectly well in all other DVD players i Test them in even my Sony Playstation.

Please Help if u can !!!

    Are you using DVD-R media?

It does. It is what you should be using. I have never had a
problem using DVD-R's. What brand are you using? What
Apple DVD Player version do you have?

I'm currently using OS 10.2.8 and the media is TDK DVD-RW.

I have burnt about 5 discs all resulting in the same outcome; i.e the discs play in all other players other than in my MAC using Apple DVD Player or VLC.

DVD-RW is the problem. You have to use DVD-R.

i'll try a burn with a dvd-r to test this. However, it's a bit strange for a dvd -rw not to ba able to replay dvd-rw burns?

Thanks alot for you help, i'll let you know how i get on tomorrow.

You might want to try ritek, piodata or prodisc dvd-r as your media. also try to burn the dvd using dvd studio pro 2.
