1080p on Laptop mega problem 720p works fine?!

    Hey guys I have a big ass doody my hands. I can play 720p rips on here smooth as hell but then when a 1080 rip comes up, such as 300 on blu ray 10gb one it goes so laggy! Any Ideas? Heres my specs;

    Inspiron 1501
    1gb Ram
    256mb ATI Raedon express graphics card
    AMD Athlon 64 1.73ghzx2
    Vista premiuuum

    Yep, the 1080p rip lags alot on the laptop, consequently lagging on the tv!

    If it's lagging on the laptop, that sounds more like a hardware problem, such as RAM or processor speed.
