I baught an xbox over here in South America and obviously they came pre modded. I believe it came with the new Aladdin chíp cause the guy told me that they just recieved the xbox's this morning. When I got home I read up on the Aladdin chip, I downloaded the tutorial and it strictly says not to play Xbox Live with your modchip on. And it also says even with your modchip off you shouldn't play online with any backup. How high is the risk of Microsoft blocking your I.P. when playing with a backup? If anybody has tried it and has had success with it. please let me know.
Disregard that last post. What I really need to know is if every modchip has to be off when playing Live?
yes, you can NOT play on Xbox Live with a modchip on. You can only play on XBOX live with original games. There is no way around this.
No you can play Xbox Live with a modded chip, but your chip has to have the option to manually turn it off and you do need the original games...
