I've been trying to burn a friggin dvd for 4 wks now. First I started with sonicmydvd and record now dx. With these programs I could burn cd's fine but when i'd try to burn a dvd, no dice. Pissed, I finally got mero 6 ultimate and loved the interface but when I clicked the burn button I get the error " another application is using the device" or something like that. I'm sure its something real easy but i am the ultimate noob. Can someone please help?
Sounds like you may have a packet writing program installed. Either DLA or Nero In CD. Remove or disable it if you have them installed. The packet writing program tries to get first acess to the burner drive. Jerry
Just as Jerry says also uninstall all those other burning software proggys you have on your computer they may be conflicting with Nero. SonicmyDVD is known to cause issues with Nero, and make sure to remove InCD.
