avi won't play....why?

    i was told that a non-modded xbox will read avi's....but i tried one and it didn't read it...so here's what i did.......

    1 used nero
    2 burned on cd-rw
    3 burned as data

    what did i do wrong or can the xbox not read avi unless it is modded?.....thanx in advance for the help

    A non modded xbox does not have the codec's to decode avi files. You'd need to mod it first. You would also need to burn your disc in Xiso format. Search google for Xiso for more information on Xiso.
