Can you try a 'System Restore' to the point before it was installed?

Sounds like ffdshow's OSD. Can't see how that relates to AVICodec though.

I, too have installed AVIcodec as I have an .avi that just wont play! I have the Vista Codec Pack, which claims to play almost everything (I think MY file is in the ALMOST part).

The source of the .avi file also sent a codec, but it wont install.

I tried to use AVIcodec to find out what is going on, but all I get is the "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported." message.

Can anyone give me any advice/information on where to go next?

It isn't an avi. So broken or incorrectly named I guess.
