A bat files is run through dos or you can create a shortcut on the desktop.

All a bat file is? Is a file that makes a program run like a executable file. .EXE

A bat file is a second backup of an exe file.

If you want to alter the structure of a .bat file, I'm sure you can open it with windows "word pad" and change it from there ?

Right click on the file, Edit. This opens Notepad and allows you to view and edit the file.
