i need to know how i clean a bios passorwd on a laptop ibm tinkpad t30
thanks for all...
Hi tigre83, To reset the bios in most computers you need to rmove all power from the main board for at least 5 minutes. This includes the bios battery in the motherboard (similar to a large watch battery). The problem with a laptop is getting to that battery inside the case. So you need to unplug the power supply, remove the main battery, and then also remove the bios battery. That will reset the bios to the default settings in most cases and should clear the password. I have read that some laptops still hold the pasword after this procedure. I am not sure if yours is one of them.
