Burning DVD-R

    I cant seem to burn DVD-R DVD's in my HP 300n DVD/CD Combo drive. I have tried with Nero...and with Alcohol...but the drive wont read the blank disc. Can u help?

    I looked at the HP site and read that HP DVD burners support +r and +RW. No mention of -R at all. I have a nephew that has an HP burner and his doesn't support -R at all. Sorry.

    LOL strange indeed ... i would ahve thought -R support would be almost universal by now.
