Should I get the Core 2 Duo T5200 at 1.6Ghz along with a 256MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1400 HyperMemory video card, or should I get a Core 2 Duo T7200 at 2.0Ghz with the Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950?

it depends. if you want something to play games on an have nice graphics then go for the t5200 if not then go for the t7200. i have a t7200 on my laptop an runs smooth as a baby's butt.

I wonder tho if i should've held out on the fast processor and got 2gb of ram. When not multi-tasking i kno i would outrun the set-up i was also thinking about which is 1.6ghz core 2 duo and 2 gb of memory. But if we started to use things that bogged down the memory instead of processing, a system with 1.6ghz core 2 duo and 2 gb of ram would outrun my system with 2.0ghz processor and 1gb ram.

that system looks like it will do what you want, not really big on gaming with a laptop but it should do everything else with ease. The system has enough memory and processor for most games but i am not sure about the graphics card specs. Plus if it is running Vista the memory may not be enough to do gaming either.
