    When I right click on my desktop and click on new folder I get a box with the following message;
    Unable to create the folder"New Folder"
    There are no more files
    My system is NTFS, I have about 83 Gigs of space left. I am
    running XP Home Edition with SP 2.
    I have not changed system or added anything to it to cause
    any problems. I have run a virus check and two spyware programs and
    nothing came up anywhere.
    Any help would be appreciated as I'm kind of at a lose as to how to remedy it.Thanks in advance.

    This sounds like the problem of a corrupt windows registry.

    So get some software like Registry Mechanic, or Registry Medic

    You could even try CCleaner, which is a nice free app and use it to scan and fix issues.

    You might get lucky and it will work!!

    Weycraze and ddp,
    I appreciate your suggestions. I downloaded CCleaner, ran the issues
    part of the program and deleted the findings after backing up my registry.
    I am still having the same problem. Do you think I should try one of the other programs that Weycraze suggested? I've never had a problem with this computer of any kind and I'm not real computer literate.
    Thank both of you for suggestions and direction to website. I have used Afterdawn for help in DVD backup and other backup issues and the know how on this site is terrific.
    Thanks again Carp
