cannot play downloaded movie on my dvd player (tv)

downloaded movie (avi) from full releases,burned to dvd with Nero 7, used dvd decrypter (read mode) to transfer back to hard drive, then dvd decrypter again to transfer back to DVD+RW (write mode)still will not play on my dvd player sony dav-s550 or any other dvd player. can someone please tell what i am doing wrong

 

So have you made the .avi file into a dvd compatible format?
You need audio and video ts folders, with the right type of files in them.

Use a dvd authoring tool to make the needed files.

 

As 'janrocks' said, it sounds like you made a DVD Data disk then ripped it with Decrypter.
Put the DVD+RW back in the drive and start Nero Vision 4
Then 'Make DVD' > 'DVD Video' > 'Add Video Files'.
Bring in the AVI and proceed to the burning stage.
