    Hi again folks,
this time my problem is a mkv file with subtitles that i downloaded from a torrent site.

I can't play it in showtime. All i get is a screwed up audio. It plays fine in media player classic with subs and all. Nero vision doesn't see it.

So i recoded it in TMPEG Xpress pro 4.12.3. I put in mpeg format of about 4gigs, here is the problem, no subtitles. I need the subtitles.

So i got new subs and recoded the newly formated mpeg with Virtualdub. It is now a AVI file. Now it won't play in anything but Total Video Player, but at least it has the subs. When i try to play it in media player classic it tells me that unrecognizable codec, WHAT!!!

I have over 250 codecs, so i used G-spot to identify the culprit, but G-spot says that it is not a codec problem at all. It seems like the header in the newly made AVI file is bad.

I need help, thanks in advance.
