I use dvd x copy platinum and I can do phase 1 of the process, but not phase 2. It used to work just fine. I also can not burn music cd's or save pictures to a disk. It seems as if there is a problem with the burner??????? Any ideas? Help!!!!!! Thanks!!!!

Uninstall the burner in device manager and then re-boot and Let Windows recognize the burner again . See if that helps

Under DVD/CD Drives in Device Manager that is where your burner is located . If you have 2 drives ( a burner and a CD or DVD rom)they will show there and if you have only 1 then that is all that will show. Find the burner and right click it and then click on uninstall

    tamlynn,
Since none of the ideas worked you might try this. Make sure all of the cables inside the computer are seated properly. If they are and you feel confident enough take the burner out and have a friend install it in their computer and see if they can burn w/ it. If they can not then it might be toast and you need to get another one

and make sure you are using media compliant with your burner. If your burner only burns +R(W), you can't use a -R(W) disc. Same the other way around.
