    I can't defrag, i have 2 partitions on a 250 gb seagate hard drive.
Disk C defrags, it's Disk D: thats seems to always have a checkdisk scheduled. I use diskeeper to defrag and the prog tells me it can't defrag disk D: besause of the scheduled checkdisk. I also use a registry
error correction prog(tuneUp utilites 2007), I think that may have caused this problem, also all backups of registry it creates were deleted. Checkdisk also runs on every bootup, checking Disk D ofcourse. Tried numerous ways of fixing this by reading several postings online. Need some feedback ASAP Thankxxx!

    Have you reinstalled diskeeper?

Uninstall and use another defrag program.

I unistalled diskeeper and tried with the Windows XP pro defragmenter and still, it says can't defrag local disk D due to a scheduled check disk.

dont know if this would help, but it might be worth a chance. Go to start>programs>accessores>system tools>scheduled tasks and see if checkdisk is inside that folder. If it is than delete and than try a defrag. Hope this helps
