i am trying to encode the chronicles of riddick
i open the disc, all i want is the titles/main movie.
so i untick the extras and unrefenced material.
i start to encode....up pops the unreferenced material??
i leave it running...the same video clips keep going round and round.it will not move on??
i unticked the unrefenced material so why the hell it starts to encode it.i have no bloody idea.

I had this problem with I think it was Friday Night Lights, I riped with DVD decrypter and still imaged the unrefrenced but it still encoded the man running and wouldnt go past it. Even after using decrypter so I turned on AnyDVD and ran that in the background and it still showed the running man but after a few seconds it went past it. So if your not using it download AnyDVD the new version 4.5.6.2 at this link

    http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

and run it in the background then try your backup program again.

i already have anydvd running,i cant rip it with decrypter first, not enough available space.
however i have now solved the problem.just reauthored it,leaving it out.burned fine.

With Decrypter, In Settings -> File Mode -> On Startup/Select Files: one can choose Main Movie and rip only the files for the main movie. I guess it could go without mention, but you said you need space. Only two solutions, clear it or add it. One of the basic rules of recording DVD video is having enough free hard drive space.

For your sake, let's hope you get your upgrade soon. That setting for ripping the movie only should save a GB or two on occasion.

At least it should be something you can upgrade. No, haven't seen the other post yet. A link would have been handy. I have memory loss while posting, nothing to do with the PC though. LOL Noted you learned about double posting.
