Computer keeps restarting

    hey, my computer keeps restarting itself every time i do something with a dvd, like when i try to convert an .avi to dvd or especially when im burning a DVD, its only been doing it for a few days and i havnt made any changes to my computer in the last few days, can someone pleaseeee help me with this problem?

    Sounds like either overheating or spyware problem.

    it looks like the machine fails when under a load is this correct ? since working with video files is cpu intense im leaning towards a failing cpu ! how much memory is available ? i agree you may have a spyware or overheating problem . has the fan a heatsink been cleaned ?

    I would agree with heatsink or cpu issue...crack the case open and check out the heatsink and fan...check for debris (dust and whatnot)a new heatsink shouldn't set you back too much...video cruching is VERY cpu instensize stuff...
