My computer gives me really slow frame rates in games, I think its the graphics card because It was old and cheap but I don't have any money to buy a new one. Is there anything I can do?

    System Specs:

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ (2.01GHz)
    DDR2 800 1GB
    Nvidia GeForce FX 5500

oh random things, grand theft auto, guild wars, need for speed, but it really struggles, especially on gw and so I never bought newer games.

    Hey andsteele i would run a spy-mal-virus scan , Defrag ,

turn off any unnessary back ground services and see if that helps.

you could also overclock it useing Nvtweak and Ntune

    And Replaceing the fan helps
