Hi everyone. I'm pulling my hair out here trying to figure out the best way to connect my dvd and hdtv. Okay I have a Samsung HD-931 DVD Player, and a Philips 46" Projection HDTV. My DVD player has a DVI-I connection on the back and my TV has a DB15 connection. They both support 1080i. What kind of cable/adapters do I need for this to work. I already tried using a DVI-A /male - DB15 / female adapter with my vga monitor cord. Black screen. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I can tell you right now, that your dvd player is probably not a HD-DVD player, it is probably a upconversion to hd if it says Samsung HD931 on the front and you got it cheap, it will not play hd dvds
