i am new to this how do u change the code on the coolsat 5000 i just got the thing but the guy never told me how to do it... please help me....
Downloading Firmware Coolsat5000_norw_143_20070412 1) Connect Receiver to the computer Com port with the RS 323 Cable 2) Turn receiver ON with the ON/OFF switch on the back of the receiver 3) Double click on STBTool(Loader) to open the software 4) Select Firmware Tab, then select Download right below it 5) Click on Browse and look for a file named (filename.stb), double click to open it 6) Click Auto Detect button to verify and set your computer Com port then click Exit 7) Click Connect then Start. It will take about 1 minute to download. Don’t worry if it says “erasing” that’s normal. Do not interrupt until the download is completed otherwise you could fried your receiver. 8) Once you see Version 1.34p detected… click X on the top right to close the window Hope this helps.
