I picked up a PlexWriter 12/10/32A. (WinXP) ANd it's very wierd but when i first put it in it's properly detected in the BIOS and with winXP but as soon as it's finished burning a cd (with either XP or NERO) the cd-rw drive seems to freeze, the light stays on and i cannot open the drive with the button. Then when i check in device manager there appears to be no more CD-RW drive. So, my procedure is to then take out the CD with a paperclip (manually) and reboot. But that doesn't always work. It's driving me crazy. Please help. I have allready downloaded the newest firmware for this CD-RW. What's next?
I suggest you try disabling the IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service in Windows XP and then see if Nero works. WinXP has it's own packet writing software built-in. I suspect it may be conflicting with Nero or InCD (Nero's packet writing software.)
