I was reading the thread about puting a divx onto a cd but my ps2 wont play vcd's.

Whats the best way to decode a divx so it fits on a dvd ?

    Thanks

It's not decoding, it's encoding. It will be worse quality than your DivX, even when burned on DVD -- simple logic, you have already lost the material when you encoded the movie from DVD to DivX and that can't be brought back.

But anyway, encode the DivX to MPEG-2 using TMPGEnc's 2-pass or CCE's 4-pass, author it using authoring software and burn it to DVD-R using your DVD-R burner and Nero.

Thanks mate. No one has seemed to give me that much help anywhere :)

I have both those apps but they won't let me open the divx files into a project, it seems they only want a rip or something!

Sorry for being such a newby but you got start somewhere ;)

If you haven't already done it, try this link:

It will show you how to do exactly what you want to do. Which, incidentally, is what i'm trying to do myself with a well known science-fiction trilogy of films directed by George Lucas...
