Now I have read all the threads about how this software was ripped off from Shrink...I use it becuase it's convienent and easy for me. However I recently bought that burner and it has worked great but recently I started to back up (seriously) a bunch of movies (some that are starting to show wear and tear)...and well a few are 7 gigs so I bought the Sony so I can do DVD+R DL's and well Cloner 2 IS NOT CONSISTENT and those discs are NOT CHEAP what's the deal? Why does it fork some movies up and not others? I am not a code guy I am just a EE and don't know all this code jargin...any help or suggestions on better software for DL burns???? Thanks
Shrink 3.2 will handle Dual Layer and also DVD Decrypter. Both are free and can be found here at AD. Decrypter doesn't compress but with 8.5 gig media it is very rare you'll have to, if you do, use shrink. Just use the "read and write in ISO" mode in decrypter. Rip the DVD to your hard drive and then burn to disc, that's it :>)
