Hi, Very new to both forums/dvd copying etc. Sorry if this is the wrong forum. However, can anyone help herre. I have managed with no issues to copy a number of dvds. However, when trying to copy this one, I get the following error. I have tried cleaning the dvd, and it does not look scratched. I even got a 2nd version to see if the one I was using was faulty. No difference. Its odd as its the only dvd that has come up with this. The error is
    DVD Decrypter
    I/O Error!
    Device: [2:0:0] HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GCA-4164B E.D0 (E:) (ATA)
    ScsiStatus: 0x02
    Interpretation: Check Condition
    CDB: 28 00 00 03 B5 A0 00 00 01 00

Any ideas? or thoughts on if this is something I can get round?

"ID CRC or ECC Error" basically means that there is a read error. If this is the case, it might be something DVD Decrypter can't handle, try using DVDFab on it and see what happens, since DVD Decrypter is not being updated anymore, I would suggest only using DVDFab as it has been updated with the newest cracks for the Sony Encryption.

what DVD are you trying to back up?
if its new then that disc come with new protection(sony ARccOS),you would need dvdfabdecrypter 2.9.7.6 or anydvd to back it up.

Fantastic all, it worked with dvdfab. I was trying to copy a Sony dvd... Just one more thing, as I said I am new to all of this and although I now have this dvd on my h/d, its in a .ifo file format. normally I have it in a .iso image file. How do I copy the vob.ifo files using say Nero? cant seem to work it out. It plays fine on the pc but thats as far as I can get.
