dvd decrypter good/bad

    Hello I just downloaded this from this site, and I got the disclaimer saying that it can't/shouldn't be downloaded if you live in the us.

    My kids are damaging my dvds can I use this program. What does that disclaimer mean?

    It means decrypter is covering his butt.

    how comes I can't back up anything, when i go and copy i don't have a .dvd file

    yes several time, I undestand it its pretty simple, but still don't have a .dvd file. I'm useing xp pro.
    do I need a ASPI layer? if so how can i get it.
