I have a problem with my external DVD drive.

I was burning a CD +-R using my Sony DWQ58A external drive, my mistake the burning process was interupted. After that I was not able to read or write any Cd+- R. But my drive is reading a DVD.

What could be the problem that it is not reading a CD +-R but a DVD. Can any one help me solve this.

    Here's the latest firmware update..
    http://www.sonyisstorage.com/bv_downloads/cpce/dvd/UYS3WIN.exe

If it's a dell, use this one..
    ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/rmsd/UDS2_win.zip

If not try running a lens cleaner through it.
