Can any one sugest a connectivty sequence that will allow a DVD player to get prefence when a DVD is inserted?

    I have a 32" Toshiba LCD TV, Sky HD+ & Multi-Room

At the moment I have to select, using the remote, the input to allow the DVD to be on the screen. Unfortunately my wife always gets it wrong and gives up!

I'm sure it used to work before we had HD!

    Any help would be appriciated.

    Get a Harmony remote.
They are very wife friendly. They cost a little more, but worth every penny.
She can push one button, and the remote does everything for her.
You program it online and download the info to the remote via a usb cable.
On their site, you type in the model numbers of your equipment, and answer a few questions, and you're done. I love my Harmony remote, and I have a lot more stuff than you do. So does my wife! When this one finally dies, I will get another one.........

Here's some different models, at different prices. I wouldn't get the cheapest one. Maybe one from $79 to $99: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_0...harmony+remote+control&sprefix=Harmony+remote
    Good luck!
