Hi userdanny, Welcome to our little Club,

We should try two things -

First go into Device Manager, find your burner and uninstall it -

When you reboot your PC it will find it and reinstall it for you -

    Second,

Let's install an ASPI Layer, it aids in communication between your PC's s software and your burner - Here's some info about the ASPI Layer and also a link to install it -

    Cheers, and again, Welcome aboard,

    Pete

Let's see what this tool can tell us about your drive -

    http://www.dvdinfopro.com/

Time we checked our drive's firmware, here's a link to get a firmware detector, it's at the bottom of the page, click on the heading, What's my firmware?

    http://flashman.rpc-1.com/

and let's check your Firmware on the Pioneer DVD ROM 115 - here's the link for the correct page -

    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=1&manufactor=8

No problem, just make sure you get the correct firmware flash - it's the 7th one down from the top -

    cheers, Pete

I teied everything u said still doesn't work. I bought this pc about 2 or 3 weeks ago off ebay, everything was working fine, it was running a little slow so I ran the recovery disc that came with the pc(format & recovery disc). Before t did this at the start up there was an icon in the taskbar at the bottom right of the sdreen , it was a rea square witha white line in it when i clicked on it, it would show resolution setting or something like 600x800,640x480 etc.. This is the only thing messing since I ran the format and recovery disc . The disc restores it back to factory settings. I don't know if this is the dvd-rom that came in this pc or not. It has WinDvd 2000 in it. I don't know if this can help u help me or not ! If not thank for tring.

Huuummmmmm, Sometimes the links don't show up right so, I had to "Tweak" it a bit - Try those links from my last post now to setup your drive –

Also here’s the page that supports your drive. Sorry I can’t help more but the type is so small I couldn’t read it. Put this in your Browser’s Favorites folder. You want to check to see if you have the most up to date drivers. You can do that through Device Manager, do you know how to do that ??

Iffin you need more help, let me know –

    Sea Yaaaaaaa,

    Pete
