I've searched a lot of threads for Open Season shrink errors but I can't find what I'm looking for

When I try to open disc " Open Season dvd " in dvd shrink I keep getting error message

DVDShrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
    Failed to read file "E:\"

I can't even get it started
I tried other discs and no problems
Can I run the disc through another program and create a file, then try to open the file with DVDShrink?

    Thanks -soup-

I just looked at a thread talking about ripit4me
It said you need dvd decrypter. Can you still get that program. I tried to download it a while ago because I got a new computer but it says it is no longer available?

You can get it here DVDDecrypter

Or you could also go with DVDFab Decrypter this would allow you to rip the movie to your hard drive and then use Shrink as you normally would using th "Open File" option in Shrink

    Tools I used and recommend:

    DVDFab Decrypter
    RipIt4Me
    DVD Shrink
    DVD Decrypter
    ImgBurn
    VobBlanker
    FixVTS

Have a look at some FREE guides here http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/A_F_Guides.html (including DVDFab, RipIt4Me, DVD Shrink, ImgBurn, VobBlanker and FixVTS).

Best of luck and enjoy them FREE guides!!

I haven't tried dvdfab or VobBlanker
What are these apps used for? Are they any better for quality or convenience?

DVDFab Decrypter is one of the best ripper beside the great RipIt4Me. Furthermore, it rips fast, it has 2 ripping MODE (Movie or Full Disc), it has 2 output choices (VIDEO_TS or ISO image) and the best of all is that it's totally FREE - it doesn't even cost you a penny.

As for VobBlanker, it's an editing tool, to blank, delete, replace, cut and strip titles (vts/pgcs or scenes), more specifically a program chains or individual cells. If all you want is quality, then VobBlanker is the right tool for you. You can simply blank or delete useless vts/pgc (i.e. FBI Warnings, rating logo, previews/trailers, useless advertisements, tiny useless vts, extra, etc.) Again, VobBlanker is free and it's pretty simple to use.

Basic guide to use VobBlanker, here http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Guides/alkohol_guide6.html
