editing dvd's

    I would like to take certain parts out of movies... how would I go about doing that to retain dvd quality

    Well that is simple...You rip the DVD to your Hard drive useing Smartripper or DVD Decryptor but try ripping it with just the One Audio Track and no subtitles...Then use a proper Mpeg editor like "Mpeg2VCR" to edit the Parts you want ,and then you would Just author those Parts to DVD useing a DVD authoring Program..You wouldn"t Loose any Video Quality but you would loose Menu"s and special Features ect ,Unless you used them to create the new DVD......
