Editing software for Divx/xvid/mpeg/avi/mp4?

    Hello,

    I'm looking for a software that will let me crop scenes from various video files of various codecs I have (mainly mpeg, divx, xvid, other web formats) and either create a VCD or DVD. Effects are not that important -- basic ones will do. I am also a newbie so the easier the better. Thanks.

    well for one thing you can't crop a codec, you might try using dvd rebuilder
