I have bought the following to fix my dead box.

    http://www.tailor-madecircuits.com/shop/...&products_id=32

Unfortunately i do not have a com port so will have to do this at work.

Problem is i dont have any full step by step guides on how to do it?

I have the cd from the above seller also but wow how confusing.

Can anyone please help, i am at the end of my tether. Unfortunately cannot afford another box thus why i opted to mend it with this jtagger?
Any help will be greatly appreciated and if i could buy you a drink i would.
    Many thanks all

cheers for the info, my problem goes deeper than that. as i am an idiot when it comes to technology.

    I have the cd from:
    http://www.tailor-madecircuits.com/shop/...&products_id=32

and there are loadsa files on there jkeys? bin files etc.

I am not sure when i connect the jtag to the box from the com port on the pc, i pressume i connect the white pin thingy to the space available and the crocodile clip to a circuit (which i have seen on a previous picture).

This is where i am stuk?

What files do i open? what will it ask me?

oh i am so sorry for being a dimwit.

I really do wanna try and do this.

Thanks again, any more help is very appreciative

Sorry your link to TMC is broken does your Jtag have a crocidile clip or a battery pack. TMCs instructions are usually fine and mine might be more confusing.

thanks for your response , its a crocodile clip, and i have the software on disc from them, but no instruction.

I am i the process of putting together an old computer tonight, when i have done it, if i put the conection into the back of the pcs com port and the other bit inside the eurovox. do i also clip the crocodile clip onto its designated area and plug the box in? or should the box be left off?

    Many thank again

Box should be plugged in and the clip should go on the VCC as per the picture in the link. You do not use the serial port you need to use the parallel port and it must be set to EEP and an IRQ of 378, you can do this in the pc bios and in jkeys preferences.

Sorry to say it wont although you are open to try it. I would advise you borrow or go to a mates that has a standalone pc as this will have the correct port.
