Eurovox Update for Ireland

Does anyone know whether there is any software updates for the Eurovox Max after last weeks code changes??

 

The Eurovox box is the only box on the market which automatically updates the keys.There has been a slight problem recently with the time it takes to update the keys with the message "Please wait while the code is being updated" appearing on the boxes.The latest release of the software solves this problem.Download it from here:

vardrus. I'm having similiar problems. How do you update the eurovox? there's a serial cable supplied but as most PC's don't have serial ports anymore how is it done?

If your computer doesn't have an RS232 port,you will have to get a USB to serial adaptor cable.They are in Maplin for 32E.I can sell you 1 a little bit cheaper which I have used myself on my own laptop.PM me and we can arrange to meet if you want to buy 1.

 

A mate of mine has an older PC with a serial port so I'll try that first. Thanks for the offer of the connector I may come back to you over that. What is the process involved with hooking the eurovox up to a PC? Is there any software drivers needed?

 

You need the Dnupman program to download the software.

 

I updated the Eurovox with the latest software and the "Please wait code being updated" still persists. I've left it on over night with no joy. I've heard that a new software update will be required to sort out whatever the cable company has done. If anyone knows when this update will be out and were to get it please let me know.

 

I am having the same issue "updating codes", I used to get this error and leave it for half an hour and it would be ok but now it just stays with the error 2 days now.

The other strange thing is that it is only for certain channels i.e. RTE2 is working fine but RTE1 is "updating codes" ,even a couple of the movie channels are working.

I also have 2 Dreamboxes both of which were working, but I had to power down one of them yesterday and when I powered it back up I could only recieve the same channels that are available on the Eurovox box.

 

that because ntl are messing up all the autorolls on every box.if your box didn't update before friday it won't update

 

So, won't update at all? Dead, scrap? Unless new firmware sorts?
And if yr OK still, should it remain OK?

The reason you can see RTE2 and not one, is that on the NTL service, RTE1 is not free to air, but RTE2 is. If you have a starview, the ones without the dollar sign against the channel, are FTA.

 

Thanks Mickah, but how do you explain some of the Sky movie channels working and other ones not working, none of those are FTA.

 

patirl. Eurovox Red 2007. I had the "Please wait code being updated" message. The latest firmware does sort it out. What you have to do is 1) load the new software 2) when done change to S*y S*orts channel the message will appear initially but it will decode within a few minutes. If you need the new software PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you.
