how do you finalize disc??
WHAT TYPE OF DISC CAN I RECORD ON?
It depends on your recorder! Check your owner's manual. It will tell you what you can record on.
Computer burners, usually finalize all discs, automatically. Standalone recorders, usually finalize -R discs automatically, but +R discs have to be finalized manually, through the player's menus, using the remote. They MUST be finalized on the same machine that recorded it also. If you don't have the remote, you may not be able to finalize.
I have a Gateway recorder, that was my stepfather's. He lost the remote. He thinks the cat knocked it off the table, and it fell in the trash can, and ended up at the dump. The remote was needed to finalize the discs. I got a Harmony remote, and entered the Gateway model number, when programming it online, and now it works just fine. )
