I just put my Spider chip in.... easy enough. I turn my Xbox on with the Chip turned on.....loads fine. With the chip of it says that my Xbox needs to be repaired, but back to the chip. I am trying to use EvolutionX M8_16 bios. I can't get it to flash. Not with CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+R, nothing will work...any suggestions

you sure you have a 1.6 xbox.. - kind of off subject to your question.. but you would flash it bad. Um, did you try various brands of media? Do you know what drive your dvd-rom is in your box?

    - also forgot, did how do you burn the file onto the cd.. step by step please... you could be burning it wrong..

I finally got it. I had to put the original HDD back into the Xbox for it to work. After that there was no problems. I got the HDD switched out now and everything is cool. Thanks for all your help guys.
