Me and my flatmates have two ps3's, one in the living room, whilst mine is sitting unsused currently.
My computer's 19" LCD needs an upgrade and i was thinking of the Hanns·G HG-216DPO. It's 22" [21.6" vis] and it has HDMI input. It apparantly has no audio-out which could be a problem as the speakers are small and probably tinny.

Is there any way i can hook the ps3 up to a set of speakers whilst still implamenting the HDMI of the LCD?

Most monitors don't handle HDMI audio-in. It might, but it's still unlikely. Make sure the monitor is HDCP compliant also. Anyway, you can either use an optical cable from your PS3 or the Red and White cables that came with it. Just go to video settings and set it to HDMI and then change audio settings to whatever your output is.
