hard drive and backing up

could sombody please post some good links so i can learn how to do a back up onto dvd i tried 1 place but my backups never worked i dont think i done it right.im ok with using ftp and putting onto my pc hard drive its the part when making an xiso. is there anywhere with nice and easy step by step instructions on how to do this? Thanks in advance.

also i have got an 80gb harddrive that i want to put in my xb any good links on how to do this?
