hdd compatibility

    i have a samsung HT-XQ100 home theatre system and was wondering if anyone can tell me which portable externall hdd would work with this,i purchased a toshiba 160gb hdd and the player does not read it.i only want to play avi files from it thanx

    This is the list of supported HDD (from the user's guide.

    CUTIE Serotech POCKET HARD DISK DRIVE
    MOMOBAY UX-2 Dvico USB 2.0

    You need to contact Samsung for an updated list.

    How did you format your HDD? FAT32? NTFS? did you experiment with different file system types?

    no i didn't formatt it just in case the shop would't take it back,but i tried a usb card reader with a micro sd card in it and it worked.the hdd i did buy was FAT32.
