I am in grade 10, and I have a french project/presentation due this Monday(actually past friday, but I missed that class), I apparently don't have enough sentences, 16 at the moment, so can anyone help translate these, I have to have no errors, I can't really do that on my own. It's on Swtitzerland.

    1. Don't forget to visit!/Come and visit us!(something like that, a command)(N'oubliez pas vister nous! ???)

    2. There current leader/president is Micheline Calmy-Rey.(Leur courant président est Micheline Calmy-Rey???)

    3. Switzerland is a landlocked country.(La suisse est un un sans littoral???)

4.There are many mountains there.(Il y a beacoup de montagnes là???)

5.The crime rate is very low in Switzerland.( Le taux de crime est très bas en Suisse???)

6.On the Geneva-based World Economic Forum, Switzerland was rated/ranked first. ( Dans la Forum Économique Genève-basé Du Monde, la Suisse était ranger premiere???)

    7. Switzerland eats more chocalate than any other country. (La suisse Mangez plus ce chocalet que-quels autre pay???)

Thanks anyways, But altavaista translates words, and sentences are a whole different world, they are specially phrased, there different from enlgish, almost never directly translatable,I just don't know how the sentences are properly assembled together.

These are just my suggestions... Don't blame me if the teacher asks awkward questions or doesn't like what I wrote...

    1. Don't forget to visit!/Come and visit us!(something like that, a command)(N'oubliez pas vister nous! ???)

N'oubliez pas de venir nous visiter.

[Or to a great friend or close relative...]

N'oublies pas de venir nous visiter.

    2. There current leader/president is Micheline Calmy-Rey.(Leur courant président est Micheline Calmy-Rey???)

Leur actuelle présidente [Elle est feminine] est Micheline Calmy-Rey.

    3. Switzerland is a landlocked country.(La suisse est un un sans
    littoral???)

La Suisse est un pays sans littoral[.] [et ses habitants doivent traverser au moins deux autres pour atteindre la mer.]

4.There are many mountains there. (Il y a beacoup de montagnes là???)

C’est un pays qui a beaucoup de montagnes

Il y a beaucoup de montagnes là.

5.The crime rate is very low in Switzerland.( Le taux de crime est très bas en Suisse???)

Le taux de crime est très bas en Suisse

Les taux de criminalité sont très bas en Suisse

6.On the Geneva-based World Economic Forum, Switzerland was rated/ranked first. ( Dans la Forum Économique Genève-basé Du Monde, la Suisse était ranger premiere???)

    First for what?

Personally, I never translate proper names (ie which start with capital letters) unless I know that name is commonly translated dans les pays francophones. Google is your friend here.

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=100&hl=en&q=forum+economique+du+monde+geneve&meta=

"Le Forum Economique Mondial (FEM ou en anglais World Economic Forum - FEM) est une institution privée basée à Genève (Suisse). Depuis sa fondation en 1971, ...".

Selon le Forum Economique Mondial, la Suisse était classée au premier rang...

It is common practice in French printing to omit the accents from capital letters unless it is specifically desired for aesthetic reasons.

    7. Switzerland eats more chocalate than any other country. (La suisse Mangez plus ce chocalet que-quels autre pay???)[/quote]

[Are you supposed to do a word-for-word translation?]

Les suisses adorent le chocolat : ils en mangent près d'un kilo par mois, selon des chiffres publiés mercredi par l'Union des fabricants suisses de chocolat ...

[On dit "les suisses" par préference... un pays ne peut manger rien du tout... donc...]

Les suisses mangent [ou consomment] le plus du chocolat que tout autre peuple du monde

Les suisses sont les plus gros consommateurs du chocolat du monde

[If you aren't sure if a phrase exists, you can type it into Google and get a good idea by looking at the search results.]
