hi my dvd drive model is: Model: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-W162Z and i want to update its firmware cause certain dvd( company of heroes: opposing fronts game dvd) it not reading properly... can u tell me how to update its firmware ? btw here is my directx log file http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/27/701760/DxDiag.txt
Go here, find your burner model, click on the latest firmware, then don't do anything while the firmware flashes your drive. The latest firmware update is from three days ago, I hope that this helps, but firmware usually only helps in recognizing newer DVD-R and DVD+R disks, not commercially pressed disks, you may have a bad pressing if your disk won't play or register.
