Help, my son thinks I'm STUPID

My son just purchased a Panasonic portable CD player that claims to play mp3s and CD-RWs. I use Easy CD Creator to format the CD-RW, then copy the mp3 to it. It plays fine on the computer but i get a No CD error on the portable player ... any help appreciated.

You do not format the disc with Direct CD, but burn the disc as regular ISO disc using the Easy CD Creator software.

Use the forum search - this has been discussed a thousand times before.

Sorry, I did search, and I guess the explanations looked terribly too technical for me. When I search using "mp3 CD-RW portable" i did not get one hit that satisfied my criteria for information.

Can you be more specific about the ISO mode recording ? Will this provide rewriteable capabilities for me ... perhaps you can point me to a direct tutorial which explains this more ...

    Thanks

You burn the files on the CD as a standard data disc with Easy CD Creator.

Forget about formatting and forget about DirectCD completely. Use the CD-RW like you use a CD-R, with Easy CD Creator, not directly from Windows desktop.

    It's a re-writeable disc, so trying wouldn't hurt - you can erase & reuse the disc._X_X_X_X_X_[small]http://CD-RW.ORG - Online since 1996
