this is my first system build so im a noob at this. ok straight to the problem. My case is an antec p180b, the motherboard is an evga 680i motherboard. I had finished building my system and then it was the moment of truth. i turned it on and no power. The only thing that get power is the cpu fan led(light) but the fan doesnt spin. I also noticed that one of the standoffs are missing. does that play a big role in the my problem. someone mentioned that i do a barebone test but do i have to place it on a certain surface like wood or something.

Alright thanks to everybody that helped in advance.

my first thoughts here are that you may have the wrong power supply...

disconnect all cables to drives, both power & data as possibility 1 of the data cables is reversed on a drive. reseat all cards & ram. make certain the cmos jumper is in default position according to motherboard manual. on the back of the psu is probably a switch showing 115v or 230v, is it showing the right voltage for your country?
